ClippingAlphaBot
Last updated 4 October 2026ClippingAlpha tracks live clipping campaigns and scores what they pay a clipper. Our crawler reads the public campaign pages of the boards we track, under a data agreement with each board.
User agents
- ClippingAlphaBot/1.0 (+https://clippingalpha.com/bot)
- The public campaign pages of the clipping boards we track, the documents and sites a campaign's public brief links to, and robots.txt.
- ClippingAlphaMedia/1.0 (+https://clippingalpha.com/bot)
- Media files a campaign's brief links to, such as a footage folder the brand shares for clippers.
How it fetches
- robots.txt
- Read before any page on a host and kept for 24 hours. We follow the group for ClippingAlphaBot, else the group for every agent. A path either group disallows is never fetched, except a board feed its data agreement with us names.
- Pace
- One request at a time per host, at least one second apart, or the host's Crawl-delay up to 10 seconds. A 429 or 503 backs the crawler off.
- How often
- Every 10 minutes for a busy campaign, every hour for most and every 6 hours for a quiet one. After a campaign ends, once a day for 2 weeks, then once a week until day 60.
- What it never does
- It sends no cookie, password or login of ours, never signs in, never submits a form and never posts.
