## Realized pay

- **Spent per 1K tracked views**: A median $1.07 over 634 clipping campaigns.
- **Their advertised rate**: A median $1.27 per 1,000 views.
- **Share of their own rate**: The median campaign realized 91% of its advertised rate.

Realized pay is budget spent per 1,000 tracked views on clipping campaigns, live or ended in the last 30 days, with over $100 spent and over 10K tracked views. Spent is not paid out. Clipping platforms report spend as views are credited, and payout comes later.

## Launch baseline

Measured on 27 Sep 2026, from our first full crawl of the clipping platforms.

- **Realized pay**: On 330 Content Rewards campaigns with over $100 spent and over 10K tracked views, budget spent per 1,000 tracked views had a median of $0.89, against a $1.00 median advertised rate. The median campaign realized 81% of its own advertised rate.
- **Top clips by app**: 3,125 top clips on 333 Content Rewards campaigns, Instagram 51%, TikTok 34%, YouTube 13%.

## How we measure

- **Method**: The index takes one rate per live public campaign in USD per 1,000 views, from the listing that stands for it, and gives the median and quartiles of every app and campaign type with 3 or more campaigns.
- **Left out**: Flat pay per post, CPM auctions (a pool split by share of views, so no fixed rate), contests and other pay models are left out, and so are rates too good to be true, the ones the Alpha Score flags and any above $60 per 1,000 views. Right now that leaves out 7 flat pay per post campaigns, 4 CPM auctions, 1 campaign with another pay model and 1 rate too good to be true.
- **Version**: clipcpm-v1. A change of method gets a new version and a dated note on this page.
